What is the stock rearend called? What is the ratio? I see diff covers for a Dana 44 and a Dana 60? What are those? Is it custom? If I wanted to buy a diff cover what do I need to look for? Thanks in advance

The covers usually list what trucks they fit. You will need one for a Ford Sterling 12 bolt. Your ratio would be on a tag on the housing and there will be a code in the door jam, there are different ratios depending on what your truck was ordered with. Your front axle would be a Dana 60. The Dana 60 and 44 are very common in many applications so that is why there are many aftermarket covers listed for them. If you get a Dana 60 cover be sure it is listed for the front as the rears can be different.
