Help Needed Noise

Hi I have a 99 e350 w/ 170k 3 new injectors, fuel pump and filter. the problem is it has a bad miss, (like someone pulled a wire off the plug) it smokes once and awhile (more than normal) now it is making a loud metal sound (like a lifter) once and awhile, not all the time from the front drivers side top of engine.

check the wiring harnesses under the valve covers...sound like you might have one coming loose

Thanks, Ive been letting it idle all morn (sounds good but still has the miss,No more noise)
Im a little hesitant to drive it. Its a van so its real hard to pull it apart but will def. do it
