ok so i tried starting my truck last week and my batteries were 100% dead cause of a light left on from a friend but the batteries are only a month old so the batteries are still good i know that....like nothing happened whne i turned my keys. Well i got them charged today and put them back in and tried starting the truck...lights turned on it did everything normal...until i actually tried cranking it. when i tried cranking the engine up, nothing happened, it didnt even attempt to start, only a clicking noise started. and for some reason my windshield wipers would go up and down one time each time i attempted to start even though they were off. and if i turned them on high they would go no faster or slower then when lowest setting (as slow as they do when attempting to start the truck). Also now with all this i noticed that my windows dont work, dont go up or down, nothing from them. and half the time when i turnt he keys all the dash lights turn on and the WTS and WIF lights flicker on and off untill off. Now again, the truck engine doesnt even attempt to crank over....literally nothing. the last time i used my truck it was working 100% ok....and now this? Also i tried locating the "clicking" sound and it was coming from this... (see picture-dont know what it is-very center of picture).

PLEASE HELP I NEED TO GET HOME FOR EASTER.

I would say the batteries are junk. Some batteries can't stand to be drained dead and left that way.

doesnt explain why whatever that part is is making a clicking sound...or why my windshield wipers are turning on when the mode is on off, or why my windows wont move at all.

d00d, don't double post across forums. start it one place and keep it there. you should probably have put this in the 911 forum anyway.

check you cables and connections. if it the only thing that changed was you took the batteries out to charge them back up and then recharge them, then its something that you messed with. make sure the connections are clean and the connectors are good and the wires are good.

check your fuses, especially the ones in the power distribution block under the hood.

picture, where is this on your motor? move back a bit to take another picture.

everything is clean...ill check fuses.....but again why would some of my power stuff be working (i.e. stereo, headlights, dash lights, and partially windshield wipers) and others now (i.e. truck no attempt to crank, windows not working, lights flickering, and whatever that thing is in picture clicking)

if looking at the front of the truck, it is on the left side fenderwall

stuff acts wierd when there is not enough power to propely open and close relays.

if its on the passenger side fender, could it be the 4x vacuum relay? is you truck a 4x4?

yes it is a 4x4 and looking it up it looks to be my 4x4 vacuum that is clicking....why would it be clicking like that? and truck with NO attempt to crank? i mean i guess i could try new batteries....but interstate is closed for weekend now...

If your clamps are not TIGHT, or if your cables are corroded, there will be enough amperage to pass that will allow low amp loads like lights and radio to work. High amp draws like the starter, the power windows, will not.

If not the clamps or the cables, its the batteries. Take them out and have them load tested.

seems everyone is saying batteries.

thats what im hoping! ill check it out monday with new batteries. i love interstate, no questions asked, no testing, batteries dead, give new ones on spot.

ONE LAST QUESTION: i know low amperage and loose connections can cause some these things....BUT lastly why would my 4x4 Vacuum be clicking when turning the key? i mean 4x4 isnt engaged so i dont see why it would be trying to work....i guess its always on and having air ready to vacuum and with low power it cant fully engage to be ready on fly since its electronic? Is that right or am i completely wrong? haha

I know on my jeep when my battery was dead and I would try and start it my remote start solinoid would click on and off very fast I imagine there is not enough voltage to hold it so it would click on an off like a blinker.
