Newbie looking for additional info

I've just spent the last sever hours reserching Bidiesel, lot of good info on this site and others. But I've still got some questions for you seasoned pros.

I've got a construction company with (4) 05 and newer 6.0L Superdutys. I'm weighing the cost of fuel and considering using partial or complete alternate fuels. I've got plenty of warehouse, and considering a Bio diesel extractor.
Biodiesel Products - Extreme Biodiesel

1. What are possible long/ short term mechanical problems?

2. If I go with Biodiesel, what modifications due I need to do to my trucks to insure preformance and longevity?

3. Has anybody had experience with ExtremeBiodiesel in Corona, CA- Like/ Dislike?

4. When it's all said and done, what's you $/gallon?

You must consider the Ford warranty. 5% Biodiesel and I suspect if you did have a problem and they found out it was homemade, 5% or not, I bet they would baulk.
I am not a fan of plastic reactors, wash tanks ok but not the reactor vessel.
Consider the BiopPro machine. Fully automatic.
You had best check on Waste Oil availability first, seems everyone is coming out of the wood work collecting VO and either making Biodiesel or mixing VO and petrol Diesel, I do not recommend that latter with out a full 2 tank heated system.
There is also licensing requirements for you guys in CA. Has to do with collecting and hauling Waste Vege Oil.

With the injection pressures the 6L runs the fuel must be fully reacted, read NO free glycerine(not visible to human eye), have NO water and be filter down to 2 microns before it ever hits the pickup tanks. The HFCM will not handle poor pre-filtration.


Yes, most dealers are doing fuel samples with injector problems. Dodge house here takes it from the drain cock on the filter and voids warranties on the common rail trucks.
