I just put on my new afe stage 2 intake , and had my 4 inch turbo back bully dog exhaust put on! She breathes alot better and I can really hear the turbo now. I was wondering how much HP and Tq this combo may have added? My buddy the previous owner has the hypertech 50hp tow program installed in her also. If he cant find the programer can I still have a custom tune from dp tuner installed? Thanks for your wisdom!

Congrats.. A good start at seeking a bit more performance and efficiency.

Just an opinion here, but there's a lot of Mods that can be done to your 7.3, with 360,000 miles on it, that will give you more "Efficiency", verses Horse Power and Torque. Like:

Deleting the Intake Air Heater ? (AIH)

Doing the HX mod ? ( Somewhat Equalizes the left & right head, HPOP oil pressure to the injectors)

A 6.0 I/Cooler ? (cooler EGTs)

A early 99 turbo compressor wheel ? (a bit more efficient)

A BB turbo ?

A 203* Thermostat ?

Shim the FPR to 70 psi ?

Stacking ontop of a HyperTech ?.. I don't know.

I'm only going by what Mods you have in your Sig... I mean no harm and I am not a " 7.3 Guru".. but with 360,000 miles on the meter ? You might wana go a little easy toward 5 to 600 HP.:watchout

But that would be Your Call

Hey thanks for the list of upgrades I can start on to make more mpgs. I think you are right about going easy on power with the milage I have. Im planning for transmission and tq converter replacement before I go crazy with power. I wonder if anyone knows of a good diesel performance shop or engine builder in the Raleigh, NC area. I would like to have the engine built by someone who knows how to build for racing and pulling.
