Got the papers in the mail from Ford with new incentives, etc. May pull the trigger on a new king ranch. Anybody have the KR interior with 4 buckets and the consoles front and rear? This is real nice with the saddlebag seat backs. Wife will have 2 fits in case the first one doesn't take, but she'll get over it. How does that leather hold up?

There was a lengthy thread on the seats and care here

They require some care but not too bad I dont think.

the NEW 06 KR we test drove in june was terrible
the fit and finish was POOOOOOR it had tears in both back seats, the stitching was crooked and wavy., dash looked like it had been dropped, the rear fenders (dually) were loose and had already worn through the paint. wheel covers were scratced to heck and back, had big dead bugs stuck in the tailgate paint, it was like they threw it together and put it on a truck and went home, maybe it was a monday morning truck:dunno
i was very "dis-enfranchised" always wanted to use that word:D
but i do like the color of the leather
so we got a lariat,

yep i believe the one we drove was stickered at 52 ish

which made the 45k lariat a bit more practical then along came the "A"plan and it was gravy

i think we walked out at 36k with a new truck there abouts.
catch em off guard............ pay cash.
screws em all up when they are thinking financing and you just whip out the check book:sweet

Well, they get a kickback from the bank for selling the loan, so I can see where it would foul things up from their point of view.

I've only had mine for a 1000 miles and it is great. So far the only mod I have done is a King Ranch license plate frame. The leather is holding up well (grin)
