I just bought my first truck last month and I am loving the truck life!! ;tu

its an 05 F350SD TD XLT dark shadow grey with 89,000 miles. bought it with a leveling kit and mild shocks already installed. I had the tail lights tinted last week and I installed a pioneer AVIC 910 system with BT, and Ipod a week or so after purchase.

My future plans are 20x9 XD Black Hoss wheels with Toyo M/T 37" tires:cool: I still want the truck to get 18mpg and ride smooth and quiet so I might be adding some suspension items as well. IDK, im so green..

Nice to meet everyone in advance!

:SDD2 Your mileage might fall off after you put on the bigger tires. You can add a straight exhaust to help a bit, but I WOULD BE CAREFUL about adding a chip, or turner, or you might have head gasket problems. The cure is Head Studs to replace your head bolts, but that is a LOT or work and $$$.

thx for the info. I was gonna do the bullydog gt or the watch dog specifically to turn down the power for my everyday driving and flip a switch for normal if I ever tow or go off road.

I was thinking with the bigger tires and wheels a set of 4:10s might control my fuel mileage.. Oh but I def am doing the air raid intake asap for that extra mile or 2 per gallon :).

Welcome to SDD.com, Sick truck :sweet- My buddy had an airaid on his 06 and didn't notice any diff in mpg, Mine had a k&n on it when i bought it and i put a stock one back on and actually got better mileage - Stock ones are also good up to 500hp.

Really? Hmmm, that's weird. The idiot that owned the truck before me cut the front of the air box off I suppose for more air but not thinking about blowing the motor if water makes it up there like I did my first mustang motor :(

I'm a 1000m from the 90000m service. I figured it would make better since to just buy an air raid than a $50 filter and how ever much for the box. I will deff reconsider now. Thx

I am running 305/55's and get right at 13.99 mpg, and that is driving like grandpa. If you want to keep your mpg's up, keep the oem tire and wheel sizes. I have been talking to Ted at Innovative and will be ordering a tuner as soon as I can sell this trailer. Welcome to the board!
