First let me say thanks for any and all help and advise in advance.I've had several light duty trucks and suv's but now I feel as if I have a real TRUCK...I have recently purchased a 2011 F-250 super duty crew cab that is absolutely sweet, bought it with 4600 miles and saved some serious money,in addition to the original owner adding a roll back hard cover, two swing out bed tool boxes and a set of wheels and tires.I guess my main questions are how do I maximize the potential fuel economy, and are there any mods that need to be performed to do this?I am not towing anything yet but look to add a toy hauler fifth wheel to the back end of truck, are there any thoughts as to length and weight of fifth wheel that would be within the limits of the truck?I'm sure theres gonna be a lot more info I'm looking for in the future ,but for now I gotta get on a plane to go back to work. Thanks again....

There are members here than give give you advice for your questions. My truck gets much better fuel mileage if I keep it below 2K on the tach.

By the way. :SDD

Welcome aboard!!! Why did the original owner give up such a good truck? Also, when you get a chance, go to the User CP and add your truck info and post some pictures.

Congrats on the new ride! I'd put some airbags on the rear of your truck. You are limited a little bit on what size toy hauler to get. The big toy haulers would be for a 1 ton or bigger. There are smaller toy haulers out there. These trucks are capable of carrying bigger 5ths but more strain on the drivetrain that way. I know there are some guys on here that have 5th wheels.

Welcome to SSD.com Daryljasinski, glad to have you here.
Is your truck a 4x4? Is it a long bed? What rear end gears do you have?
Everything I am hearing about the 2011 is good. Hope you can post up a few pictures of your new truck. When you go with a fifthwheel you will not be able to use your hard bed cover. I am sure your truck will make a great tow vehicle and you will get many years out of it. Keep the oil and filters changed and drive it hard.
