I’m back with another truck...or two. I traded a very clean ‘99 F250 reg cab 7.3 with 200k miles and $2500 for this ‘01 F350 7.3 AT, crew cab LB, 145k miles. It had injector and turbo problems when I got it and I drove it 800 miles to Mesa AZ from Sacramento CA. Turbo went out while driving around to get repair quotes.
First mechanic , Monster diesel in Gilbert AZ made a simple diagnosis- Long block replacement $10,500.
Second try was more reasonable. Wes’s Diesel Repair in East Mesa AZ quoted $3200 for turbo and injectors. Good man! Phew, quite a relief...
So, now I plan to attempt to do the turbo change out myself buying a rebuilt one. I will leave the injectors to the mechanic.

on either bumper!I would like to just refresh and restore this truck as it’s pretty clean. Any ideas and recommendations to help achieve this would be greatly appreciated
