Welcome mac07007 :sweet, a X2 on checking out the recall DPRN :)sly) mentions. IIRC, it had to do with a wiring issue near the master cylinder.. when the the CC was being used ??

It wasn't specifically the Master Cylinder.. it was a wire to it that is in the CC circuit, that could corrode, due to brake fluid contamination ?

Thru the years.. I've had Bad Parts.. out'a the box. :dunno

On my 2K.. they are under the dash fuses #'s, 13 & 28.

Seems one member on here cleaned the CC switches on the steering wheel.. of years worth of coffee, soda, crud, dust and dirt.. got his CC back ?

turns out that one of the 2 amp fuses in the recalled wires had a corrosion issue. whoever did it had it taped all up and hiding down by the power steering pump. thank god i got cruise back. if any1 needs a clockspring hit me up. ty for the responses.

the cruise recall was for the switch in the nose of the master cylinder leaking, shorting the wiring and causing a fire.

the fix is a jumper harness made out of fusible link.

seems the better fix would be replacing the switch, which is the actual failed part..
