well I got the Yokohamas put on yesterday. They look great and I paid even less than I expected. Quieter too than the BFGs. I had to laugh at myself while at the shop though. When I called the shop to order the tires I told him 285/75/16. While he was putting them on I was looking at the labeling on the old BFGs to compare load ratings and noticed the size label. Damn that "6" sure looked like an "8" when I was preparing to order! The old tires were 265/75/16.

Oh well, no big deal. I just laughed at myself. I dont really want to be raising the truck any but it went up an inch anyway.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll feel safer on the highway with a measurable tread depth!

I'll do pics tonight. Had to refresh and recharge the camera batteries - my 6 y.o. is the next Ansel Adams and runs them down.

If I get the miles on these that I did on my BFGs I will likely stick with these next go 'round too. I like the quiet ride.
