New guy to the site... Researching for a purchase!

Hello!

I just joined the site today. I am researching for a potential purchase of a 03-07 PSD in the next couple of months. I am looking to get into snowplowing on the side in the winter months, and need something that I can tow a boat with for the summer.

I currently have a (gulp) Chevy Colorado that is great on gas, but it will not do what I want with a I-4 and a 5 speed, lol. I am no stranger to Fords though. I have had three mustangs; 91 LX 5.0 and 2 94 GT's which I did some mods to.

I look forward to finding information on the site, and look forward to participating in the forums when I find my truck!

Edit: I should add that I have never owned a diesel pickup, but I am no stranger to diesels. I drive tractor trailer for a living. There is NOTHING like the torque of a diesel engine!

I would be looking for a F250 or F-350 SRW 4X4 in a 05 - 07 Be sure that the truck you get has a snow-plow front end on it. Good luck Mr. Truck Driver.

Thanks for the reply; WD40, is the snow plow front end a factory option or is it something that you can add later on?

It'a an option that was available on the trucks from the factory. It upgraded the alternator, had a special engine fan clutch, higher capacity front springs and possibly a few other things that escape my memory right now.

i've had an 03, driven and 04 quite a bit.. and now i have an 05 and i too would say go with the 05-07 if at all possible...
