New guy from San Diego

Hey guys and gals -

I should have done this 20 years ago, but I finally got myself a pickup last week. I've driven 4x4 SUVs even somewhat offroad for years, but I finally got what I really need, a real truck.

My newest set of wheels is a white 1997 F-350 Superduty, single cab, short bed, dually, with twin stacks and an Edge Evolution programmer. I love this truck. Bought it off a Marine up at Camp Pendleton who needed a crew cab. Not me though, I have a car if I want to drive people around, but this machine is to haul trailers (like my car to the track), stuff for around the house (no more trying to cram lumber into the stupid SUV, or having to pay for delivery of brick or block) and well, to haul ass generally, of course.

Man though, am I going to let loose with a barrage of questions for you guys. It seems that 97 is damn near the hardest model year to find accessories for. I'll leave all the questions for another post though, probably in the more general forums and not this intro one.

But yea, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I look forward to learning all I can from you guys.

Welcome to the site, the 94-97's arent as easily accessorizable (izzat a word?) . Seems you can find anything and everything for the Superdutys but the OBS trucks are a little harder to get bling for.

Are you sure it is a short bed? It may look short because of the dual rears, but I bet it is still an 8' bed. I may be dumb please enlighten me.

8' isn't short on a SD? I can tell you this. It is an 8' bed, and I've seen several for sale with that same general body style that had a much longer bed. So, what lengths are available, and what do you usually call them?

Ok and another point of confusion. You guys are refering to OBS and from what I can tell this is like the middle-aged body style (94-97). Before 94 is OBS isn't it? Gaaaa I have to learn my terminologeez.
