Well my new boost tubes can in this week but I have been extremely busy and have not had a chance to put them on. So I have some free time tomorrow and I plan on installing them.

Do any of ya'll have any secrets to install new boost tubes. Because I am sure that they are not going to go on as easy as the oil soaked ones did. I was going to stop and pick some Brake Cleaner or Carb Cleaner tomorrow that way I can make sure to get all of the oil off the intake side of the engine. Thanks for the help.

brake cleaner is a good start, get all the connections good and dry.

and get ready to be very uncomfortable while sitting on top of the engine, at least i was while i was on top of my 6.0 today.

When I installed them the last time it wasn't so bad. I just have to remember how I was laying. Sure I will remember. Will it be easier to install the boots on the intake or the turbo Y-pipe first.

The trick there is to put the boots on both the spider and manifolds at the same time. Then slowly wiggle it on there. The best way to save your back is to sit on your knees on top of the radiator, just lay a blanket down first, this will greatly save your back.

Well I got them installed just fine. Pulled all the tubes out of the and the air intake out. The nice thing about my truck is that I have the ranch hand front bumper. Makes a really nice place to stand while installing parts. But I did lay a towel down over the front of the motor. Can't wait to have the tubes Powder Coated now.
