Need Tire Help - ProComp - 33's or 35's ?

King Ranch Rims - Standard 18" 265/75/18

What is the largest tire that I can put on without doing any lift or level?

33's - 35's ????

Thanks,

Ron

2wd or 4wd. My 03 CC 4wd I fit 35 in bfg all terrains on it with no lift and a little trimming. This is just a lariat though but should not make a difference. I get a little rubbing on the springs at full turn.

Thanks Trapper -

Yep - it's an 04 King Ranch CC 4x

When you say "a little trimming" - which part and where are you trimming? The KR has the lip moulding on it and I'm not looking forward to having to trim that. I can deal with a little rubbing at full turn.

Also - I am keeping the stock King Ranch rims -

im guessing in the wheel well's, thats where i had to trim from rubbing

HINT: BFGoody's run 2" too big, for instance, i'm running 37"'s, but they only measure 35". You get my drift

maybe w/ your 37" s but my 315/75/16 BFG's are 35" and my 315/70/17 BFG's are 34", I don't no how much the rim width would make a difference.

I put 315 on stock wheel on my F250 cc 4x4 and had to add a leveling kit to keep from rubbing. if you don't want to trim i'd stick w/ 285, 295, or maybe 305's...

It rubs in the wheel well, against the liner. You can pull the liner back a little to clear. It will also catch that lower bumper plastic crap and rip it off. It is best to take a cuttoff or sawzall and cutt the corner off.

Let me know if this made any sense.

I'm either brain dead or just plain ole confused over all of this. I've looked at so many websites - I need to learn how to drink I guess.

All I want is a tire that will fill up the hole a little better - use the stock rim and not make me hack up the truck.

Looks like it's the 18" rims that are screwing things up.

Thanks Chris and All -

So okay - stock tires appear to be at 32" with about 2"+/- just a tad front and back (wheels turned). Sooooo - looks like the 35s should fit.

Looking at the ProComps if'n I can get the boss to spring for that much. Heck I may have to put a little in the fund.

So since they have to be ordered - it's a best guess on the 33's or 35's. :dunno
