My son has a 1995 F150 that he wants to "upgrade". He needs a new seat for it (regular cab). It has a blue interior and has the cloth seat and carpet (XL). He would like to have the 40/20/40 seat that was in the F250's in the 92-97 model year. Does anyone in the Dallas area know where he could find this?

you bought him a gasser? what kind of dad are you...
I didn't buy the truck. His grandmother gave it to him 8 years ago, he's now 29 and plans on keeping it at least 10 more years. It's 4.9 L I-6 with a 5-spd. There are lots of them around. He still gets really good gas mileage, and it's got at least 180,000 miles on it.

Have you tried the salvage yards Wayne?
He's tried some salvage yards. One guy even hung up on him while he was trying to explain what he needed. You can bet we won't be going to that yard again.

sadly with seats you almost need to find the truck once it comes into the yard to get seats of reasonable quality. Most salvage yards do not like to bother with seats especially on the phone since they may be in the truck but if the yard guys left the doors open like they do all the time the truck that just came in last week may have already had the interior trashed.

If you can find a yard that will let him go and walk around the yard then he may have to keep a regular visit schedule to snag them once the truck comes in, unless he plans on recovering the seat anyway.

Wayne, afew years back there was a man that was always at First MondayTrade Days in Canton. He was always on the corner of highway 19 and 64 on the northeast corner.
I talked to him one Sunday and he said he would make me a seat just like I wanted. I went to Mansfield TX the next Friday to his shop where they put them in my truck. They were great and held up real well over the years.
Sorry I don't know of any other way of finding him. Good luck on finding a good seat.

That is a good setup :sweet

JC Whitney offers some nice replacement seats for a reasonable price.
I don't know if he's checked JC Whitney or not. I know that he has looked at their magazine and their website. They would probably be the best ones though.
