I was on the road and parked the truck. A half hour later I went out but the A/C heater unit never came on. I checked for a blown fuse but all were OK. I've heard stories about the ignition switch and the headlight switch causing the problem but I don't know where to start.

A vacuum leak will cause heater/AC problems. What is the heating unit doing? Is it going to all functions, like heat, defrost, vent?

did you also loose your IBC (brake controller) display?
if so its the fuse. whether its blown or not, pull it out and reinstall it with the KEY OFF.

don't ask why, just trust me, its an oddity that no one has solved yet, my 06 did it at least once every 6 months

i think the brains in the electronic a/c system needs a reset every no and then, it must be a PC :stir:tounge
