It seems like my truck likes to wander. I bought it with the lift kit already on it so I don't know how the stock handling felt (I am thinking to go test drive some trucks to get a feel). It doesn't tend to one side or the other, it will wander left or right and if I am not constantly tending the steering wheel I'll be crossing over into the next lane. It started to get really bad and I took it in for an alignment. The front tires were starting to show wear on the middle tread towards the inner half, not on the edges though (proper pressure too). It seems a little better after alignment but still there for sure. (sorry my knowledge of truck terms and anatomy is limited) They installed all new bushings on the front end, replaced the passenger side front hub assembly and adjusted the camber.So...
My question is. Could this problem be from either,
1. The design of my lift kit (8"skyjacker with front coils, maybe affecting the caster angle)
2. Something bad in the steering box, pitman arm, or drag link.
3. The tires them selves, balding 37x15.5x20 kumho road venture m/t
4. Or something els?

What would you guys check first? Thanks alot.

well, ive got a four inch lift and 35's and when i got my truck the steering was terrible.so i had to replace tie rods, centerlink, idler arm, your trucks relatively new so your suspension parts are prolly ok,have you tried rotating the tires to see if it goes away?sometimes i wish my truck didnt have a lift.i would just try rotating the tires if you havent already.worth a try.:dunno

I'll start with the tires

yeah I'll try changing up the tires first. I didn't have them rotated when the alignment was done because the dudes at les schwab told me if I moved the worn front tires to the rear they would just get "burned up" faster, and it is still an icy winter here so less tread on the rear wouldn't be good. I run the high end of what is recommended on the side of the tires, about 44psi all around. I am hoping to go with a new set of tires around summer this year. I think I'll go down to 37x13.5x20 from my 38x15.5's
thanks guys
