Ok, so I just started putting mods on my truck today. I've had this truck for a bout a week now. It had sat for at least a year before I got it. I've put around 200 miles on it since I got it. When I first got it I put fuel treatment in it because it had a half tank still in it (Which is at least a year old). I ran the tank down to an 1/8 before I filled the tank and put more treatment in. Since I've had this truck it's smoked a little at idle (grayish smoke). After checking all fluids to make sure that it wasn't burning oil or coolant, I determined that it must be fuel. SO I thought it just must be the fuel treatment that is causing it. So today i decided to add mods to it:
-DIY Intake
-Boost Fooler
-FPR Shim ( I followed this site directions Cover going back pictures from cars photos on webshots)
I also drained so fuel out of the fuel bowl and put in some sea foam. I started the truck, NOW IT SMOKES REALLY BAD. So I thought it was just the sea foam crap doing it's job. I let the truck idle for 20min, still smoking as bad as ever. I drove it to get lunch and shut off the truck when I got there. When I came back out to start the truck it would turn over a half turn then stop like it was seized. It did that 3 tries then started up, smoking really bad STILL. So I drove it down the highway (10miles) and brought it back to my house. On the highway it seemed to not smoke at all, but when I slowed down it would start to smoke BAD again. So I'm almost to my house and one or two of the injectors start making REALLY LOUD "Clacking" noises. I parked the truck, came inside and made this LONG POST.
My question is:
Are my injectors bad? Could the raise in fuel pressure what made them really start to go bad?
Or What Else could the problem be?
