Ran out first tankful this morning since changing oil, oil filter and fuel filter. This truck has hit right on 15 mpg throughout the previous 9 fill-ups. This morning? 469.9 odometer miles/28.175 gallons. Fueling method/location, driving habits and unloaded/hauling routine haven't changed. I was more than happy with 15 mpg....16.678 tickles me plumb pink.

BTW....I have no idea what brand/weight oil was previously used, but I loaded 'er up with Rotella T 15-40. I've had no problems down to -9F (it gets plugged in all night under those circumstances), it's mostly 30-ish around here, and the truck does more long hauls than joyriding.

Gonna be a fine day!:D

Small amount of credit I guess but heck if you are going to fudge why not say you got 23.2 like some guys say? 16.677905 is great if you ask me but when I hear 22+ I just roll my eyes..

I get high 20's low 21's on the highway if I drive 60-65mph with no a/c, a tale wind bumps it closer to high 21's.

In town I get high 18's if I drive by Dave Whitmar's advice, max 2k rpms, 600 max EGT, max 5-6 psi boost.

Hand caculated of course.

With a 2wd, 373's and a manual transmission I will buy it but you say 22 and I am going to roll my eyes.

Anybody see the response over at the other place?:D

First time I hooked up the trailer to my kid brother's towrig, I noticed I was getting something like 154 mpg coasting downhill. I hate that overhead display thingie....caught myself stepping over the dotty line while I was watching it. In fact, I hate his whole danged truck....ain't it yoo-gly (10 uglies)?
