oh tay-

i just got done doing my oil, put in ams 15w40 (12 tbn). i also am not a virgin air filter remover either. that sux.:rant

here is the question: i never looked up on my shelf to see if i had oil left over from last time & i did - 6 qrts. of rotella 15w40. now i have a qrt. of ams left. can i pour the ams into the rotella bottle and have 7 qrts. and only purchase 8 qrts. of ams next time? OR should i not mix them?

questions/comments/concerns/statements. talk amongst ourselves.....:roflmao :sorry

also got the blackstone back: all seems quiet in oil land....:hail

somewhere on rotella's site, in their FAQ they had a blurb about this- you chould change between syn and dino with no adverse affects.

i think that the rotella syn in the blue bottle is a group 3 oil, which is modified dino where mobil1 and scheaffers are group 4 base stock which is pure syn.

i am not sure i completely agree, but at least i feel better about going retella syn for winter and rotella dino for spring-summer.
