i havent done anything comparable to a PSD engine with him yet, but for everything else i have done he has been very fair with pricing. not the cheapest or most expensive, about middle of the road compared to other places around here (we do have that sticker shock though!). i dont mind paying a few dollars more for the piece of mind, especially after talking to him (or his employees) and knowing that competent, and experienced people will be doing the work.
everytime i call him and ask "when will you have time to do _______ for me" he replies "well im booked for about 2 years, so bring it down and we will squeeze it in". i drop it off, usually he says give me a week, and it is ALWAYS ready by then.
