Chose not to post this in the reg forum cause its not an SD

the gf has an 08 explorer limited with all the bells and whistles. the driver's side lumbar seems to be messed up. I inflated it, and started to hear a click and immediately stopped and then went to deflate it...heard the clicking again...and now the damn thing is STUCK inflated all the way. (i know its not an actual inflate/deflate thing and its more of a push in, push out).

Any ideas on this?

My son's 06 Explorer had lumbar problems too. He took it back to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. I don't know what the exact problem was, but after it was repaired, he said it was much better. Also, his Explorer (as well as my 07) is an XLT and has the manual lumbar knob on the side of the seat.

yea JL...i had a feeling you were gonna say that.

im gonna have to tear into it, but just am gonna have to make sure i can get it back together...cause if i do that, all hell is gonna break loose if i dont get it back together....

I wish it had the hand crank like the passenger side...much simpler.

The hand crank one does as well as the power one, but it sure is nice to punch the button and feel the lumbar portion getting stiffer. We had a 95 Crown Vic with the power lumbar and it was really nice.
