Installed DP Tuner and in the 100hp setting and above it pulls hard then falls on its face. Put the boost fooler on and it helped a bit, Just wondering if it is running out of fuel, air, oil, or if the stock tranny is limiting me. I just need to know the order of my next upgrades. :dunnoThanks:hail

more than likely running out of oil..
common problem with high HP settings.
just for grins, change the fuel filter and see if it gets any better.. a lot cheaper than big oil..

.... And don't ferget the PCM controlled "Speed Limiter" ?

If you ran it hard (?) with no boost fool-er (?) the PCM may have gone to the "De-Fuel" mode & code. yul need to erase that.

no limiter on the tunes....only in stock....my guess is the 1211 code slowing him down....

Thanks guys, Just replaced the fuel filter 50 miles ago. Will hooking a scanner up and deleting the codes do the trick then you think. I did run her a bit before boost fooler.

will disconnecting the batteries clear that code? or does it need to be scanned?

disconnecting the battery cables just sets another code..
actually several..
a scan tool is the only way to clear them.

Some scanners will, some won't.

Another Yes & No. It' worth a try but yul need a scanner that at least shows a code Was set.. then shows No codes.. After you've disconnected BOTH batteries for 20 minutes or so.

I need some advise... I have a 99 doolie with a 6 spd, only mods are a k&n filter and the guy I bought it from says it has a chip (never seen it but it does blow some black smoke when i get on it). I am getting a terrible hissing on fast idle, or when im feathering the throttle at hwy speed. I have taken the belt off and run it and it still makes the noise. However, it only does it when it is about 45 degrees or cooler outside! i pulling my hair out!
