Looking for speakers

i thought my ford speakers where pretty good, untill i got into my moms porshe suv. those speakers are best ive ever heard. they where crystal clear, had just the right amount of base, and they didnt distort. they sounded unbelieveable! my question is can you get speakers to sound like that. in my old truck had alpine 6x9 they sounded good, but not rich in sound like the porshe's. what brand of speakers could give that kind of rich sound?

It was probably more the amp than the speakers. If you are just using the head unit without an amp it will not sound that great no matter what speakers you use. That said, new speakers would help and are easy to replace. If you want to make it sound better than the Porsche, get an amp, new head unit, and seperate (tweater not mounted in the center of the speaker) speakers from a higher end company. If you just want to make it sound better, just get some decent coaxial speakers for about $100/set. They will probably improve it enough that you will be happy until you ride in your mom's car again.
