I am a first time buyer of a PSD so I would like to ask some advice regarding a truck. I am hoping to go look at a 2005 F250 Crew Cab FX4 Lariat either Friday or Saturday. It has 163,000 miles, 6" exhaust (not sure if the whole exhaust or just a tip) heated leather seats, a sliding rear window, and a battery maintainer. An AutoCheck report came back clear with 3 previous owners. The only major problem on the OASIS report was the head gaskets were replaced at around 94,500 miles in June of 2009. The dealer (not a Ford dealer) is asking $13,800 which is slightly below what both KBB and NADA say the price should be ($14,000-$18,000). Should I be concerned that the price is lower? What are some things that I should pay particular attention to? I am going to look to see if it has head studs (hopefully!). Any help is greatly appreciated!! ;tu

The Head-gasket work means (IMO) maybe the heads lifted.. which could mean the OEM studs streched... If So..HOPE they replace'm with the Hardened studs.

Jus' say'n ??

Well it has 70,000 miles with the new gaskets and studs (hopefully). That is worth something, if it runs strong. Good Luck with this truck. Make sure that it doesn't loose coolant. Check it out before and after you drive it. Look at the coolant fluid level for both.
