I had a bolt of lightning hit the front end loader I was driveing down a road to a job site. It set the parking brake on and shut down all the functions. It has 35 hours on it so it is all computer controlled. It goes into a limp mode so I could drive it in 1st gear at low speed, the hydralics don't work and the wipers, driveing lites, and strobe can't be turned off. This happened on Monday and the John Deere tech Guys still haven't got it figured out yet. Anybody had a computer era car or truck hit and have any problems. O ya I'm fine but the old ears are still ringing.

Glad you are OK. :)

Have the tires gone flat yet, I have heard that lightning will put many pin holes through the tires as it reaches ground, virtually ruining the tires.

Tires are still up and the tech guy has replaced the main dash panel and at least one of the control box's. Nothing works yet :( . They are going to haul it to the shop and give us a loaner till its fixed. We looked for a burnt entry spot on the machine but couldn't find any. Sure wish it was working as tomorrow I was going to use it to build a compact car enduro track for our county fair. It's raining out now and they were supposed to have the truck and tractor pull tonight. I was going to enter the SD but will need some super swamper if this keeps up. :drive
