As was requested in THIS thread, here are some pictures of my truck with the Revtek 2.5" leveling kit installed.
Some initial impressions:
First--the truck seems more "planted" in turns, i.e. when I start into a turn, there isn't that overly-softly-sprung/wallowing from side-to-side feeling like I had from the stock springs.
Second--I REALLY like how it sits--level looks just right, although now the 285's I've got look just a hair out of proportion small. That's no big deal, but when it comes time for new tires, I might give a thought to 295's or something else that's just a hair bigger than what I've got.
Third--it's suprising how much difference a 2.5" lift in the frontend makes--I had forgotten just exactly how much the front has sagged.
Fourth--the shop I had install the kit said that the Revtek kit is a lot easier to work with than a mini spring pack add-on or an add-a-leaf since it is a whole new spring pack. It's more expensive to buy, but the decreased labor time for install made a wash of the difference. I thought about doing the job myself, but decided that the hassle just wasn't worth it when we've got a good garage here in town with reasonable, but not exactly cheap, labor rates. Sometimes, it's worth it to me to just pay the money and get the job done right for certain tasks vs. fiddlefarting around with it myself.
