I am interested in adding a flashing white LED pkg to my truck. I have seen quite a few options, from lightbars, to dashmount, to integrated in the light fixtures.

Curious if anybody has researched, purchased, and installed LEDs, and if so, what variation? Thx~

i don't have LED strobes? just strobes. they are in my taillights and cargo lite and front head lights. The place that did it said they had never put them in the 'white' part of the tail light. They've always put them in the 'red' part so the vehicle flashed red in the rear and white up front. I told them i wanted all 'white' so they tried it and it worked. They said i was the first one to have it done and over the last 3 years I've seen tons of trucks like mine. That's what i get for being a 'leader'....:lmao

it is a 6 head strobe. i can change the patter w/ iirc 6+ different patterns. back in '03 when i got it, it was $300P & $300L. my control unit is under the rear driver seat.

sorry for the bad pix, maybe i will try to get a better one..you don't want to know how many times i tried to take a pix when it was flashing...:dizzy

What is 300P and 300L?

Thanks for the response. Who did the install? I'm not even sure what company would install them around here!?

I think he means $300 PARTS and $300 LABOR....

Try this site...http://www.awdirect.com/strobe-systems/

I do not have a strobe system but have ordered many items from them and what they sell is work truck rugged and reliable. If you sift through the parts I think you'll find you can build whatever size system you want and it's pretty much a plug and play deal. Hope this helps.

I have all sorts of LED lights on my truck. I have only had one single LED failure, and it is in my tail lights. I bought all of them off Ebay. It is just what worked best for me. All told, I think that I have maybe $200 tied up in them, and I am VERY visible at night. I did mostly worry about the back though.
