My son bought ,used, an 06 F350. It has keyless entry on the door but we don't have the code as he got the truck from a Chevy dealer.
Does any one know a way to get the code, or to reset it back to default?
The Ford dealer can do it through the computer but they want somthing like $80 bucks to do it.

Check the owners manual, in the little cover that it comes in, there should be a business card sized thing in it with the 5 digit code printed on it, if that is missing, I've been told that it is also printed on a sticker on the control unit for it, but it is way up under the dash, and very difficult to get to and read. I can't verify the second option, as I made my dealer look it up for me on their computers as a condition of purchase.

Hopefully someone else can verify where the code is printed on the control unit, and that it really is there, if not you'll have to take it to Ford.

Try this

The default code should alway open the locks, but you can add a code of your choosing to do the same. The instructions to do this are in your manual. I am not sure if you will need the default code to do this though. With my truck I reprogrammed my code and the default code works too.

There were TWO versions of the key pad systems...on is a "bolt on"
wired system that was delivered from the factory.

the other type is a STICK ON version that is self contained and runs
on a watch type battery.

the Bolt on version came w/ a small white laminated paper "wallet" card
that has a "MASTER" number printed on it...this MASTER number can not
be erased (you can create your own code, but the master is perminant and
can always be used).

Ive HEARD (but never confirmed) that the "MASTER" access code number is also
printed on the firewall (inside the truck) behind the radio...again rumor only as
far as im concerned.

the bolt on version of the key pad sits in a small "recess" thats in the metal of the
door.

the stick on verison sticks off the door quite a bit more...its method of operation
is nothing more than a key fob that has more buttons (w/ numbers on it)...and i believe
it is programed using the factory remotes.

these might help -->

heres what the stick on version looks like -->

Conveniently unlock your vehicle without your key or keyless entry remote. No wiring necessary – programmable, backlit keypad tunes to the same frequency as your transmitter. No-drill installation. Comes with two covers: one is primed (paint to match); the other has a black textured finish. For vehicles equipped with factory remote keyless entry. Works with 2005 and up Ford and Lincoln Mercury vehicles! (Does not work with Hybrid vehicles.)
