ok to start off these issues youguys know about the dead injector and the knocking replacement.well the knock turned into a bad skip tonight.CCT says system pass,WTF!?buzz says 1,3,5,7 high to low side open,IDM fault.clear codes and they go away for a while.then the skip got real bad, pulledinto walmart and did a buzz again and it said IDM fault.so i continue on my merry way home slowly and easily.oil pressure and temp gauges keep going up and down, mechanical oil pressure gauge reads 15 PSI @idle and 20PSI while driving,WTF!!?all of a sudden the injectors get real noisey and the BRAKE! and ABS light came on.again WTF!?i get on my street and the injectors got seriously loud and the truck picked up speedlike when i turn the chip up(it does that once in a while) well with the dome lights on the battery gauge is fluctuateing and the lights are dimming sorta consistant with a glow plug cycle on my IDI.

any ideas?its cold as a witchs you know whatout side and im not in the mood to deal with it at the moment but im gonna check the coolant and oil levels in the morning and maybe see if i can get it to the shop without haveing my buddy come tow it for me.

Could it be possible that your alternator went bad and the truck was running out of power to fire injectors and so forth???? Sounds like it could be a electrcial problem.....except the low oil pressure????

Rich---could it be :dunno that you have a wire in your injector harness that is broken inside the insulation::( .might not hurt to do a continuity test just to make sure. could be when your oil was changed some wiring was disconected or worse yet :dunnoit got kinked or broke --the oil or filters should not have any effect on motor preformance --my 2bits worth BC:canuk Robertoh

I'm with ↑ him, that'd be the easy answer or a chip malfunction. Beyond that it'd be a bad sensor somewhere but that still doesn't explain the low oil pressure since that's an entirely mechanical system..... unless the IPR was staying open leaving a constant drain on the hpop res (hey I'm grabbing at straws here)

Everything sounds electrical to me.

1,3,5,7 fault? Those all have wires in commmon.

Dash lights going stupid? Thats what happened to my truck when my batts were half dead one day. (They were new, but i left something on and half drained them one night).

I dont think IDM personally. But I wouldnt rule it out yet either.

I'd start simple. Go back to stock (pull chip, stock IDM, etc etc) and see if the problem persists. If it does, then I would start looking at valve cover wiring. You said yourself, the problems didnt start until the injector swap. How much you wanna bet a wire is loose, or rubbed against a rocker arm and chaffed or something. That wouldnt be good with 130v of IDM trying to go to ground inside your valve cover.
