Well I've been busy these days and haven't spent much time on the internet so I haven't checked in to see what is going on around here. I've been deviding my time between work, the girlfriend and, most importantly, fishing. I guess I'm lucky that she likes to go. She gets bored quickly but when I reel in a MONSTER red like the one pictured below, she gets interested again. I guess the real reason I posted this thread was to brag about the fishing.
If any of you guys live near the coast you need to be out there right now. The weather is changing and the redfish are starting to school up. They are still in shallow water and are starting to move a little deeper. I saw three different schools of at least 10 or so that were all bigger than 20". The flounder should be moving out soon as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if anyone ever takes a trip to the Charleston area and wants to do some fishing, I might be able to make it happen if you let me know early enough. I can only bring two extra people in the boat. I can probably put you on some redfish for right now and I can promise some speckled trout action. I could catch those during a hurricane.
Anyway, here is the picture, this one was 28". I didn't have a scale so I didn't get to see how much it weighed.
