Let me tell you what, the rain was coming down earlier. When the 6o'clock news came on it said 2.40" of rain. Then, 10 minutes later, when the weather report came on it said 3.44" of rain. That was a mean Southeast Texas thunderstorm. I have forgotten how bad those can get. Anyway, some folks out here in Lumberton have water in the house now. Sure does suck because things are almost back to normal from Hurricane Rita and then that happens to their house. Oh well, Mother Nature stikes again.

Years ago I remember driving into Texas, and looking at the highest, largest, meanest clouds I had ever seen. They were probably an average weather pattern for the midwest, but we had never seen anything like them being from the west coast.

So you're in Lumberton? From 1982 to 1985, we lived in Silsbee and made several trips to Beaumont. I worked for ARCO on a seismic crew. I was transferred to the DFW area in 1985 and laid off in 1986. We haven't been back to that area since then. I know that there have been numerous changes in that time.
