Thursday night I took my IPR out to clean due to a slight surging problem. After disassembly cleaning and reassembly my truck lopes & rattles real bad at idle and low RPM. I am getting 4 codes, P1000, P1209, P0603, P2111 & I am at stock tune.

I read somewhere that the air needs to be bled from the HPOP but the only way I found on the net was to run at high RPMS (3200) with the OD off. Is there a better way? Could air be the problem I am having? :dunno

:thanks , Chris

I may well be air. How long have you driven it since you did the IPR work? It took me a good 50+ miles of intense driving to purge the air from my oil rails when I did my injector work. How did the o-rings look on the IPR when you cleaned it? Did you maybe damage them upon reassembly?

By the way, welcome to SDD Chris, glad to have you.

Welcom to SDD!

I didn't have any air probs when I rebuilt mine, I filled the reservoir before starting. Is the nut holding the solenoid on tight? O-rings looked good? How many miles on the truck? Hope you didn't damage it, I was very apprehensive in using a pipe wrench on it but everything went well for me.

I still have my slight surge when trying to hold 1500rpm in any gear. I'm startign to think throttle pedal assembly on mine.

only way to get all the air out is to drive it.drive it at 45MPH with the OD off for about 45-50 miles
