So, got my gauges installed and Ford couldn't come up with my interior paint, so looking for it, but can't find it on their website. Any ideas where to look for it? I am only going to get Ford paint, because matching the interior is #1 priority.

Ford said they could get it, but it would be 2-3 weeks. This is to paint the gauge pod. Need to get some plastic primer as well. Currently the pod is tan and the paint job done on it is terrible, but that will soon be changed.

got watcha need right here. i used this flexible coating by SEM. they are matched perfectly to the manufacturers factory colors. i bought mine at a local automotive paint supply where i live.

i didnt have much luck w/ 3rd party paints....i never could
find an exact match....painted it anyway and it was CLOSE but
no cigar (would piss me off just looking at it...cause you could
tell it was NOT the right color)

the ford oe interior paint isnt cheap but then again it DOES
exact match & to me it makes the job look completely original/professional
(friends of mine have gotten in the truck and said...wow ford makes
those guages as an option ???....course this is AFTER i painted it
a 2nd time using the RIGHT paint)

i bought some of the FORD 'zact match OE interior paint from diesel innovations in houston.
i know ITP Diesel has some in their "close out" section of their
web site

do yourself a favor though when you do paint the pod...prep it 1st
w/ some primer...or you could end up using an entire <short> can of
the ford OE interior paint.

I won't see your email until tomorrow. I can tell you that the new Ford 6oz cans DO NOT match that well (not nearly as good as the old 13oz cans). It's one of the reasons we started having paint custom mixed. My paint matches much better than Fords, but I'm not doing ever color in my stuff yet...just the most popular. As my stock of Ford paints is cleared out and I need the other less popular colors I'll get those done.

Well, my interior paint code is 4E, it's the two tone grey. Seen more then 1 truck with grey, but popular I have no idea.

there ain't nothing wrong with the product i first told you about, its looks just like the factory colors inside my truck.

if you would like, i would be more than glad to go to my paint store that i bought mine from and get a color sample sheet and mail it to you so you can compare the colors with your interior.

and if you like it but can't find a store that has the same product, i would also be glad to get you some and send it to you, if you will reimburse me and pay S&H costs. just PM me and let me know.

LOL the closest SEM dealer is 30 miles from me. A lot of good it does to live in the Twin Cities. I really am starting to not like this area.
