Well stupid me took the truck to the dealer for regular maintenance and it come back with a leak. It looks like its coming off of the first intercooler next to tha fan housing. Its not much but dont like to have leaks at low mileage. Has anyone else had this experience. I emailed the ford dealer today telling them that they should fix the problem since it was not leaking before the service. Of course in a nice way. Any comments on what this could be please feel free. Thanks

Well got an email back from the dealer and this is what they had to say:

Michael, We would have to look at it to be certain, but oil does circulate through out the charge air cooler & it is normal to have oil weep at all connections & it will accumulate enough to drip over time. Reply if you want to schedule an appointment. Thank You, Jim

I suppose I will make an appointment with them but don't really like the idea that they think this is a normal thing. What do all think?

I'd take it back, Be Straight, yet Forcefull about the fact it wasn't leaking/dripping >before< you took it to them.

Intercooler

Decided not to take it back right now. They offered for me to take it back but over an hour to get there, so not going to do it now. Leak has subsided for now. I think when it got below 0 last week it popped fluid on a cold start. heard from a local guy here in town and he said that happens quite a bit with diesel trucks when its cold. My spartan is saying things are fine and all the numbers are looking good so will see I guess. I think you guys are right though its tranny fluid sure smells sweet like it anyway.
