I'm looking to add an intercooler to my 1996 PSD. What is the easiest cheapest route to do it? Will the 99-02 7.3 PSD intercooler and plumbing work on the on the earlier trucks?

The intercooler will work but you have to fab up some plumbing for it. Most guys go this route. There use to be a guy building plumbing kits but he has become very unreliable and has many unhappy customers so it would be best to bend up some plumbing yourself.

you can find 99+ and 6.0 liter intercoolers on ebay that are like new for 100 to 150 bucks usually, people remove them to install the banks coolers most of the time. and yes a 6.0 cooler will fit too.

Yes there have been a few complaints lately about Geoff @ GTS Motorsports...It did take a little time to fully coordinate the delivery of my kit but it did get here...I dont think there is anyone that ordered paid and never received but maybe I'm wrong...

Overall I am happy with my GTS kit...Fits really well and was extremely convenient.

yeah it worked well for me too, but i think im gonna save some $ and just fab a kit up for my 97. a few mandral bent 90's, couple other minor bends, some straight 3" pipe and a early 99 y pipe and your kit is just a few hours of fabrication away.

http://www.gts-motorsports.com/ i also have the GTS kit in my 95.very well made but a little expensive but worth it.it did take a while to get mine though.but he builds a few kits at a time.wich you cant blame him due to not knowing how many he is gonna need.would be a waste of money for him to keep 10 kits in stock to only sell 3 in 6 months.

would i buy from him again?you betcha!i had a small issue where i needed a different sized clamp and he sent it overnight for free.

is your truck a 2WD or 4WD?if 2WD you will need to do a few extra mods for it to fit.
