I really wish my truck had cab lights, and on Ebay, they sell cab light kits that are OEM Ford lights and wiring harness. According to the guy selling them, all the trucks already have the plug for them whether they truck has the lights or not, and all you have to do is drill the holes, mount the lights and remove the headliner and run the wires down to the factory installed plug and plug it in..
Has anyone ever done this install? Is it easy? The kit on ebay sells for $109 with free shipping,, is that a good deal, or can I get em cheaper at a delaership? Thanks for any help you all can give me.

Do a search here and you will find lots of folks that have (I plan on it this summer). There are templates and measurements and all kinds of tips.

Yes it's easy I have to make a template from my friends truck, the plug is on the passenger side behind the kick panel. I installed the recon light last spring and no leaks yet. Good Luck

I put the recon LED cab lights on my truck last yr. Mine didnt come with cab lights. I bought my cab lights on ebay for like 70 sumthin. I'd get LED they are so much brighter and last longer. No probs with mine. No leaks. Didnt come with a template but gave all the measurements to locate where your lights go. Came with all the wiring. Yea the plug is behind the passenger kick panel up front. Make sure you have someone help you hold your headliner down or take it all the way out. I made the mistake of not removing my headliner all the way and when I drilled I drilled through my headliner haha. Luckily just a few holes and they are covered when the visors are up. Just double check, double check and double check your measurements. Mine turned out great. I posted a current pic of my truck in the official truck picture thread with my lights on.

Hardest part is drilling that first hole...

This is so true.

You Betcha !

Drilling a 3/32 pilot hole @ each location helps.. then use a Step Drill bit.. drilling Slow & Easy.. makes nice, clean, burr free holes ? (easier on the Nerves too)

:dunno
