Anyone recall what the Napa inline fuel filter part number is? I know it's a direct match to 5/16" fuel line in and out,it's placement is usually pre pump.

This filter is the economical option to the premium filter kits.

One for a Mercedes diesel car works but I can't remember the years. When I had them look it up it has wire mesh inside instead of a filter paper. I'm sure the napa books would give specs.

I believe the 3003 uses 3/8" not 5/16". The 3033 is the metal version. I guess the metal one is a disposable filter. :dunno

I'm looking for a small inline filter like the 3003 or 3033 but what I want is a small filter with a cleanable stainless steel fine mesh screen. I will use it as a final filter. I'm not crazy about the pleated paper filter.

I found that 3/8" wasn't snug enough so I used 5/16" which really took to the barb tightly. I should have noted that first:doh:

Look what I found! :hail A bit pricey but it's cleanable, 28 or 60 micron screens, is rated for diesel, won't crack (sight glass running hot veg oil) and aluminum & SS are veg compatible. Since I have vacuum gauges on both tanks a sight glass is not mandatory.
