I'm thinking of running an injector buzz test, cylinder contribution test, and GP sytem test. I think I've read where the AIH not having a code eliminator will not allow the cyl. contribution test and GP test to finish. Is this true?

What should I expect to hear from an injector buzz test? What should they sound like if they are good? BTW I have 108K miles, 40k of that's with either a programmer or chip. :drive

Thanks!

When my truck started running on4 cylinders, I did a buzz test. I don't think you are looking for any particular sound as much as the fault that keeps any of the injectors from firing. In my case, I found the #5 injector feed wire shorted to ground and the buzz test pointed me directly to that problem.
With that said, the injectors do buzz and other than hearing them actually buzz, not sure what that noise tells ya.

buzz test will check each injsctor duty cycle(i think) you will here 3 or 4 buzzes for each injector. meaning they are ok. as far as the glow plug test i can thelp you my Snap on scanner wont perform on my 97. also dont have a factory AIC but i dont see why it wont let the cylinder or glow plug test to complete.
