Ok for my next amazing trick I ll pull a rabit out of my exhaust!

4 Inch or 5 inch exhaust is the question!!

300 for a 4 inch or 500 for a 5 inch.. MBRP that is..

Is a extra 1 inch exiting going to make that big a diffrence?

I mean they both have a 4 inch down pipe, then one goes on to a 5 inch only real advantage I can see here is slightly reduced EGT's?

500$ is probably out of my range considering I could get the 4 inch and Gauges for 600....

Your thoughts ohh knowloedgable ones?

I don't think you will need the 5" unless you keep adding mods, and end up going with injectors and a turbo. If you are just sticking with a good chip or programmer, then 4" will be fine. Bryan

I've also heard that the 5" can reduce bottom-end and there seems to be quite a bit of info over at TDS that the guys with 5" exhausts saw reduction in fuel economy when they installed them. While this is counter-intuitive, and doesn't make much sense (unless the cool sound of the 5" exhaust has them putting their foot to the floor more often), it is enough for me to say that the benefits of a 5" are nebulous and probably non-existant unless you are really going for 750 RWHP or something.

All in all, most guys go 4", and I have yet to hear a guy go from 4" to 5" and say "wow, I'm glad I did that". Mostly, it was, "no difference".
