I've read all the posts in a search and could use some input.

First off went to start the truck up Sat. and it was dead, Jumped it and it ran. Bat. voltage was 10.02(reading from evolution) and dropping while driving. Bought a Brand new Alt. and put it on. Voltage reads 11.09 @ idle now. both batteries were charged and load tested , terminals and connections are clean, electrolyte levels are good. In the mornings bat reads between 11.9-12.06volts.

While driving voltage reads 14.2 on the EVO but batt. light flickers at times e.g. letting off throttle, sometimes during throttle. if I sit @ a light or let off the throttle voltage will gradually decrese 13 down to 12 . I'm thinking Voltage regulator in the Alt. Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

WHere did you buy the att. at? If it was only load tested on the truck you will never find a problem w/ the voltage regulator because it is being forced to work. take it somewhere and have it bench tested.
