I just purchased a performance MOD (resistor) from ebay for in the intake air temperature sending unit. First can anyone tell me if this is worth installing and second can anyone give me an idea of where this sending unit is

Are you sure you're not talking about ICP sensor mod or EOT mod?

I've never heard of anyone tricking the signal to the PCM from the IAT. The intake air temp sensor is installed in the side of the airbox closest to the firewall.

Maybe he's talking about using a 470-ohm resistor to jumper between the leads for a removed AIH and ground to fool the PCM into thinking the AIH is still there? :dunno

I've heard of it, I believe it tricks the computer into advancing timing by making it think it is cooler than it is. Don't hold me to it though.
