when i first got my truck 3 years ago, my wife hated it. dont get me wrong, she was happy for me that i was finally able to get the truck i allways wanted, but she didn't want to ride in it or nothing.
she would say, "it's to hard to get into that big ole thing, or i'll never drive it, i'd kill somebody if i drove it."
but here lately, she doesn't complain when we go in it as a family, or if we go to church in it, you know, stuff like that.
she has even gotten more comfortable driving it, but i still wont let her drive it unless i am with her. hey, its my baby!
last night after church, i was talkin to friends and she is allways ready to go, and get the kids home so they can get in the bed, because they have to get up early to get ready for school.
so i hand her the keys, thinkin she is gonna just go crank her up to get it warm for the kiddies. well, i walk out of the bldg. and she is coming around the corner. now i must say this first, everyone knows at church about my train horns, so i was walking behind one of my good friends, and he sees my wife driving the truck around to get me.
well, he gives her the "universally accepted sign for honk your horns" and he was just kiddin i know, but she lets down on them things right in the church parkin lot, i couldn't believe it.
she had the biggest grin on her face, and i must say, she made me proud.
