I Hope 2008 is a better year for my truck
Lots of stuff has gone on with my truck this year.
First, it was out of commision for 4 months while having the engine pulled for new head gaskets, aftermarket head studs, and the reg. return fuel system.
Had to take it back about 4 times shortly after to have oil leaks & exhaust leaks fixed.
Next it stays at the dealer again for over 3 weeks while trying to diagnose what turned out to be a bad FICM.
And now, on the last day of 2007, it has had trouble starting for the last few days. Turns out my driver's side battery was bad, so they put me in a new battery today. The tech was tightening down a nut from the hot side to a circuit breaker that I use for my switches that controls my lights.
While he was tightening it, the ratchet made contact with the lip of the inner fender and shorted out the entire instrument cluster.
So now its FRIED and it will be a week before it arrives. The dealer is paying for it, so at least I am not out any
I can still drive the truck, I just wont know how fast I am going (my Garmin will tell me tho) nor when the fuel gauge is on E, and I wont be able to roll the windows down either.
SOOOOO, here is to hopefully a better year for my truck.
