I just left the Chinese buffet, stuffed, and was on the way home to see what was on the TV. Then I heard BOOOM...screeeeeech, crunch, screeeech, crunch. Then I just braced for the impact. Looked in the mirror and saw that a car was trying to get the hell out of Dodge. Only thing was that there was another car in the way. Good thing my PSD was safe. Then he got free and turned around and hauled *****. I saw some people go after him so I decided I'd see if everyone was ok because nobody else would. There were two ladies in the car and a husband and wife in the expidition. Wife was crying and husband sitting on the curb. I told the ladies in the car to pull out of the center lane and get in the right lane if they could. Found out that the car still rolled so I said I would go make sure the others caught the bastard.

They were just down the road and I pulled over. There was the car and a whole bunch of others standing around. I wasn't sure if the guy was there so I asked and they pointed him out. Yep...drunk. He jumped the curb and got stuck in some grass. He started talking but he was drunk and wasn't all that great at speaking English. All I could make out was, "I have not life." I said, "You don't anymore bro." He almost started for the road and I informed him that he should stop or I will have to put him down. Even though he was drunk he understood. Cops came and cuffed him, I gave a statement and that was it. Lucky for him he didn't try to make a run for it. All he needed to do was give me a reason.

There were enough people at the accident sight so I didn't stop to check on the others. I waved as I passed and they waved back.

He is lucky that he didn't hit me. I wouldn't have just sat there. My truck would have still moved and I would have chased him down and let my fists speak for me. He probably didn't have insurance so that would help cover the expenses...some. I would have hog tied him with my ratchet straps until the police showed up. Well that's one drunk driver out of the way for a little while. Too bad it took him causing an accident to catch him. I've called the police and followed a drunk driver before and will do it again anytime I see one. I know that there are families on the road and I would hope that somebody would do the same when I, one day, have family on the road.

he's still walking around scott free today.

I've done the same thing and it felt oh-so-good when I heard on my scanner that the P.D. was arresting the driver for DUI.:D :D :D :D
