Yes Mike, Many times. My G parents were 5th generation Iowa farmers. After WW 2, We lived on "The Farm". I remember Harvest seasons where Everyone harvested Every ones Crops. At the end of the Harvest... All involved got together at the last farm and brought their Oldest equipment and did it "The Old Way".

Lots of Draft Horse & Mule>Teams<, Steam, oil, diesel, gas powered equipment..... TWO, BIG Ol' Steam Tractor/Belt Driven, Threshing Machines.. I'll never forget that. They scared the Hell outa me

Out here in Caly there are Organizations that still do crops "The Old Way". Hand Seeded and worked til' harvest time... NO fuel powered equipment. Some steam.

Go'n to the Intl. Farm Expo this week, in Tulare, Ca.. lots of Old Way equipment there. Some put on Real demo's of how they did it..... Back In The Day.

Can't wait. Love that ol' Stuff.
