hypertech power module

has anyone tried the hypertech power module for the 6.0? three levels of tuning adjustable on the fly up to 100 horsepower. and they say its safe to tow at the highest power level. everyone is selling it for around $500. jegs has it for $350. i'm thinking about ordering one. its also 50 state legal for emissions not that it matters.

I don't know of anyone who uses the Hypertech stuff. There are a lot of other tuners and boxes out there that are favorites in the diesel world. As for towing on the 100HP setting - I would say that depends on the load. And then sure maybe you could tow a max load - but your tranny may not like it much. As for the 50 state legal - I'd have to raise the BS flag on that one. I don't see any tuner/box being 50 state legal. Could be though.

If you would like a list of other tuners and/or boxes to research and look at before you make a choice - let us know - I'm sure everyone would be glad to post a link or two for you.

I used H-Tech for a while, then switched to Edge Juice, and now run the SCT 1705. Superchips is DEFINITELY the best for me. I would like to change on the fly, but most of my driving is the same and the SC made the best improvement in MPG. The only Caveat is I have a 7.3.

Hypertech was in the old truck, it did it's job fine

just got back from trying it out. its pretty impressive. can't compare it against anything but stock though. hope my head gaskets hold up.

hypertech isn't the go all out company, it's not as powerful as some of the others, so you should be feeling safe with it
