Hub let go!

Well, My Passenger side siezed up last weekend. And took the lookout and rotor with. Damn the was expensive. I would have with the Dynatrac conv. but i couldn't wait that long. Has this happened to anyone else. what could have caused it?

p.s. bought it with 120k, now has 140k, don't now if the original owner changed them.

I have had front bearing failure before with my truck. I blame alot of it on the larger tires. (38's=extra stress) When mine let go it cost me a new bearing/hub, rotors, pads, caliper, caliper bracket, and front hub vaccum seal. The bearing on mine completely blew apart on the hwy. (scary!!!) I also thought about the dynatrac conversion but couldn't wait that long.
