What kind of performance or difference would putting a 2001 17 HPOP on my 1995 F-250. Would it be worth $200 bucks and how hard is the install

Stock for now

Oh, Ok, you sig said Swamp Injectors ;)

If they are stock, you might see a little gain and might run smoother, but really not much difference.

BUT if you PLAN to upgrade them anytime soon, they it would be wise to go to a 17* Pump (aka SD pump) ;)

I am looking at doing this mod as well but I have heard that being a 95' with SD pump will cause drain back issues fromt he resevoir causing hard start ups after sitting for several days. I have found that there are several mods that will fix this but I don't like the idea of having to drill the housings and plug up others holes to prevent he drain back.

Yeah,
I'd worry about the drain back, too.
Another option might be some small 160cc Hybrids. They use a LOT less HPOil than regular 160 Stage-1's, but are more expensive. Maybe even-out in the long run after figuring in the cost of a new 17* pump, and would most likely run at a higher injection pressure, too, so better performance and efficiency.
Just a thought...

is there a writeup somewhere, or a website that shows how to do the mod to the 17* pump to avoid drainback? is it really all that difficult?
